  • N'Keal Harry quiet in conference loss
Arizona State junior WR N'Keal Harry was shut down in Saturday's 27-20 loss at Washington, finishing with just five grabs for 20 yards.

Advice: Harry's longest reception of the evening was five yards, as the Huskies did a great job of neutralizing the pass game with their impressive secondary and making Arizona State try and beat them on the ground. The NFL prospect did make his presence felt in the return game. Late in the fourth quarter he fielded a punt at his own 5-yard line. It appeared to be ill-advised, but he used his speed and athletic ability to take it out near midfield, positioning his team for a late score. He'll look for better offensive production next week against Oregon State. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:53 pm

  • Alex Hornibrook leads late comeback over Iowa
Wisconsin junior QB Alex Hornibrook completed 17-of-22 passes for 205 yards and three touchdowns in Saturday's 28-17 win over Iowa.

Advice: The Badgers trailed 17-14 with 5:40 remaining in the fourth quarter when they started into their go-ahead scoring drive. On that drive, Hornibrook completed 5-of-5 passes, wrapping it with a 17-yard scoring toss to A.J. Taylor. That score came with just over a minute left in the game. Wisconsin would add one more touchdown before contest's end to provide the final margin of victory. Hornibrook is rarely tasked with carrying the team, but he did a beautiful job, here, with his team on the verge of losing two straight games. The Badgers will take their bye next weekend, with a home date against Nebraska showing on the schedule after that. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:21 pm

  • Nick Fitzgerald totals just one TD in loss
Mississippi State redshirt senior QB Nick Fitzgerald completed 16-of-32 passes for 145 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Saturday's 28-7 loss at Kentucky and he rushed for one score.

Advice: The No. 14 Bulldogs hit the road for Lexington and were unable to deal the Wildcats their first loss of the season. Kentucky's defense was surprisingly stout, limiting Mississippi State to just the one Fitzgerald rushing score. It was an especially surprising result considering Mississippi State entered the game averaging 50.0 points per game. The Bulldogs will look to bounce back next Saturday at home against old coach Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:13 pm

  • Kelly-Martin (ankle) leads Iowa on ground
Iowa sophomore RB Ivory Kelly-Martin (ankle) rushed for 72 yards on 14 carries in Saturday's 28-17 loss to Wisconsin.

Advice: Not the flashiest of showings, here, but it was good to see Kelly-Martin back in action. The 5-foot-11, 200-pound sophomore had not played since the team's opener against NIU due to a nagging ankle injury. In his return versus the Badgers, he ended up leading the team in rushing. He hasn't lost his starting job, either, it would appear, as no other back received double-digit carries in the tough late loss. Iowa is off on bye next weekend, which should serve as a huge help in getting Ivory-Martin back to full health or close to it. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:04 pm

  • Verdell runs well, but commits costly fumble
Oregon redshirt freshman RB CJ Verdell ran 20 times for 115 yards with a touchdown in a 38-31 overtime loss to Stanford on Saturday.

Advice: Verdell was easily the most effective runner for the Ducks on Saturday, with no other player running for more than 35 yards. His touchdown was a 48-yard scamper that gave the Ducks a 21-7 lead. Unfortunately, his night is going to be partially remembered -- to be nice -- for his fumble with 51 seconds left that allowed Stanford to drive down the field and tie the game before winning it in overtime. There are more positives than negatives here, but that was obviously a big, big negative. He'll look to put up similar numbers without the fumble next Saturday against Cal.
