  • TE Smith listed as riser by Pauline
Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline lists Alabama junior TE Irv Smith as one of his "risers" after his performance against Mississippi State on Saturday.

Advice: Alabama is loaded with talented players, and Smith sometimes gets lost in the shuffle despite being one of the most productive tight ends in college football. He picked up five catches for 70 yards in the victory, and he's gone over the century mark and scored in several games for the Crimson Tide this season. "While he must improve his blocking strength, Smith’s intensity and effort are next-level worthy," Pauline writes. "The senior class of tight ends leaves a lot to be desired, but Smith is one of a handful of underclassmen who presently rank as top-75 pick." Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 4:53 pm

  • McShay lists Wallace as prospect on rise
ESPN's Todd McShay lists Oklahoma State sophomore WR Tylan Wallace as a prospect on the rise.

Advice: Wallace (6'0/185) has been sensational as of late; he has two 10-catch, 200-plus yard performances in the last three games, with the in between game being an 8/122/1 effort. "Wallace is a true sophomore and won't be draft-eligible until 2020, but his above-average speed pops," McShay writes. "At just 6-foot and 185 pounds, he has average size, but he can still come down with the ball on contested targets and excels at adjusting to poorly thrown passes." McShay believes that he's a potential day-one pick, meaning he has a chance to be taken in the first 32 selections. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 4:05 pm

  • Kiper: Jones could be first QB taken in 2019
ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. lists Duke redshirt junior QB Daniel Jones 18th on his updated Draft Board.

Advice: Jones is now the second rated quarterback on the board, trailing only Oregon's Justin Herbert who ranks fourth. With rumors that Herbert could be heading back to school in 2019, that could make Jones the first quarterback taken, as Kiper notes. "The most impressive trait I've seen from Jones this season is his ability to buy time in the pocket and use his feet to get square and make a throw," writes Kiper. "He has thrown 26 interceptions in his three seasons as the starter, and he forces passes at times, but he has mostly cut down on the poor throws this season, as he has only six picks." Jones is a volatile prospect to many, but there's a real chance he goes high in 2019, assuming he gives up his redshirt senior season. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 2:44 pm

  • Hurts (ankle) attempts more Wednesday
Alabama junior QB Jalen Hurts (ankle) threw the ball well at the end of Wednesday's practice according to Charlie Potter of Bama online.

Advice: Hurts reportedly asked quarterback coach Dan Enos to go through the final drills at the end of practice, and he reportedly threw the ball well with cameras off. The Crimson Tide are playing The Citadel, so there's a good chance Hurts will play against the FCS program if he's healthy enough to do so. There's also a chance they hold him out with bigger fish to fry. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 2:36 pm

  • Tagovailoa (knee) not limited in practice
Alabama sophomore QB Tua Tagovailoa was not limited in Wednesday's practice ahead of Saturday's game against The Citadel.

Advice: Tagovailoa also wasn't wearing a brace, but rather had a sleeve on his left knee. The only thing that is going to limit the sophomore southpaw signal-caller is that Alabama is playing The Citadel, and there will be no reason to risk him getting hurt when this gets ugly.
